Honto ni Atta Kowai Hanashi also known as True Scary Stories, presents a scary story that really happened in real life. In general, this drama will receive a letter about a scary experience that has happened to people living in Japan. This drama is airing every year in summer with five different occasions in only one episode. Honto ni Atta Kowai Hanashi is around 240 minutes long. As of this year, the occasions are divided into Hijou Tsuhou, Asobi Matsu, Shazai, Hitokoto no Ayamachi, and Tsukete Kuru.

Hijou Tsuhou

Hijou Tsuhou presents a new security guard who is working for a security company named Takahashi Ryota. One day, he is doing the night shift with his senior colleague when an emergency call comes in. Ryota heads to the location and finds a resident Yamauchi is in pain. He immediately calls for an ambulance but it is too late to save Yamauchi. The next day, Ryota is out on a date with his girlfriend Misa. Around 4 pm Misa gets a call from her mother, asking her to go home even though it is still evening. Ryota feels disappointed because Misa has to go home earlier. They get into a quarrel and Misa starts to walk off but he senses something strange about her behaviour. Misa acting as if she has been possessed. Ryota looks around if there's anything strange, but he sees Yamauchi in his line of sight. After that incident, Yamauchi always appears near Ryota.

Asobi Matsu

It's all started when Tadokoro is picking up her daughter, Kana, from school after her busy work. On their way home, they passed a large abandoned house. After walking a few steps from it, Tadokoro saw that Kana does not moving and keep looking at the house for a while. Tadokoro felt confused and immediately pulled Kana to go home. The next day, Kana's school teacher told Tadokoro that his daughter had drawn the large, abandoned house, which turned out to be a well-known haunted house in their neighborhood. Rumors said that there was a little girl who died in that house and the ghost always haunting children. One day, Tadokoro picks up Kana too late, and find her daughter has not come to school since morning.

Shazai

Fukumoto got transferred to work in his branch office, so his company has prepared the apartment closest to the office. After arriving at his new apartment and tidying up his things, Fukumoto heards a knocking sound from his front door. The knocking sound does not stop with a woman's voice say, "Open the door." Fukumoto open the door but finds no one. That night while sleeping, he heard a knocking sound along with the woman's voice which was exactly the same as on the first day of his arrival. The following morning when he goes to discuss what has happened to him with the building owner, the man stammers that she is probably the girlfriend of the man who used to live in this apartment. But the truth is, this woman is no longer exist in this world.

Hitokoto no Ayamachi

Aina goes to boarding school and lives with her three good friends, Momoka, Chihiro, and Yui. But one day, Aina felt avoided by Chihiro. Even when Aina greeting Chihiro, she doesn’t greet her back. Momoka and Yui noticed the situation and asked Aina. Instead of talking their problems, they are busy discussing romance and discover the fact that Momoka is in love with Saito, the ace of the basketball team. Aina convinces Momoka to confess her feelings and Momoka did that. Unfortunately, Momoka was rejected. Since the time Chihiro avoided Aina, Aina always feel that there is someone who always touching her cheek even though no one was around. Not only the touching sensation, but she is also hearing a voice. Aina notices that Chihiro is always nearby while this supernatural phenomenon is happening.

Tsukete Kuru

Takagi is a member of a popular idol group, Momoiro Clover Z. Every time she finishes her concert, she always feels anxious and feels that someone is following her. Every time she stays at the hotels before the concert or tours, she also often felt paralyzed and disturbed by supernatural phenomena. One day, Takagi shared her experiences with his fellow group members. But other members think that being paralysis is a common thing. Then the clock on the wall in their room starts moving at unbelievable speed and everyone is at a loss for words at the sudden bizarre phenomenon. The clock stopped in the exact time that Takagi had a frightening experience the night before. Takagi feels that this incident has something to do with her past. The reality that happened was horrific.

Dimulainya Hal Aneh
